Jagwinder Sraow, MD, FACP, FACC, FSCAI

A sincere desire to help others means that Dr. Jagwinder Sraow is known for being compassionate and warm and regards many of his patients as friends. Dr. Sraow is an interventional cardiologist and Medical Director of Sun State Cardiology. He has developed an extensive heart disease prevention and management system that has significantly improved the health of countless patients. He is a well-known speaker on the subject of lipids and cardiovascular diseases, and has published numerous articles in the cardiovascular field. He is the most senior cardiologist in the southeast valley and is on staff at Banner Desert Medical Center, Dignity Health’s Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers. He has also been the Chairman of Cardiology at Chandler Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Sraow obtained his medical degree from the Govt. Medical College, Punjabi University, in Patiala, India. After completing his medical internship and residency at The Bronx Veterans Hospital and Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, Dr. Sraow completed his cardiology fellowship at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular diseases and internal medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.

Aside from his clinical practice, Dr. Sraow is also very active in the medical community. He is the founder and past President and now the Executive Secretary of Arizona Sikh Medical Association, Executive Secretary of Patiala Medical College Alumni Association of North America, past Mountain Region Director and the IT Chair for the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, as well as past President of the Arizona Association of Physicians of Indian Origin. He is also involved in many nonmedical organizations, volunteering his time for the benefit of the Indo-American community. He is the President of Sikh Religious Society of Arizona and founder of his church, Arizona Sikh Gurdwara.

On the personal side, Dr. Sraow has two sons who are now both doctors. He has lived in the valley since 1982 and currently resides in Chandler. When he’s not working or serving within the community, he enjoys golfing.
